Opening hours for Skaftafell Visitor Centre:

January - March: 10-16
April - May: 9-17
June - August: 8-20
September: 9-19
October: 10-17
November: 10-17

Visitor centre is closed on the 11th of november and  open from 14-17 on the 12th  due to staff training days.

December: 10-16

Skaftafell Visitor Centre is an information and service centre where visitors can find answers to their questions about the Skaftafell area, along with information about hiking trails, accommodation and nearby recreational options. 

It also has a souvenir shop with books, postcards, etc., and special emphasis on local handicraft. Reception for the campground is in Skaftafell Visitor Centre. Please visit this page for campground information.
